I never know what to expect.

“Do you need anything from the store?” Shaun asks.
“CARMEX!” Kara yells from the bedroom, where normally she can’t hear anything, but when someone is making a trip to the store she has super sonic hearing.
“Kristine, do YOU need anything?” He asks again.
“Mmmmm…no, don’t think so.” I answer.
Shea and Alyx come running in, “Peanut Butter AND Jelly!”
“You need both?” he asks.
“YES!”
“Well, then you know what time it is?”

And then Shaun and the girls, as if rehearsed, burst out singing  Peanut Butter Jelly Time.  Including the dance. I sit in awe of how their minds all work on the same level at the same time.

Please tell me I’m not alone when it comes to random acts of weirdness in the home.

It is not so much in the home as in public.
You may remember this gem http://www.flickr.com/photos/redjade/406420455/
Also, when Mom & I go to Wal-Mart, we often talk like pirates. LOUDLY.
I would not know what to do with myself if my family weren’t odd.

I am so freaking happy to hear that my family is not the ONLY family that is odd and weird and funny in such a random way. LOL, I never know what is going to come out of their mouths. Hell, sometimes when I’m at work, the phone will ring and when I answer it I hear my husband on the other end yelling “BONG, BONG, BONG, BONG, BONG!”

Why? I have no idea. He says because it just feels good. And don’t even get me started on going to the grocery store with that man. Add in the kids and it’s a real adventure!!

Uh yeah. We live in twin houses, you and I. I was singing “Peanut Butter Boobie Time” to my neighbor’s baby who was screaming for some good eatin’s the other day. That would be the official baby version of the song created by yours truly.

(oh and sorry. I think my cell phone called your cell phone and whispered sweet nothings the other day. I saw you on the call list. Then again maybe it was my son calling to talk to your girls???)

On my HS track team we so very much hated how seemingly every other team adopted that as their cheer that we began singning “Ham & cheese and a tennis racket”

You are not alone in random acts of family weirdness. Adam came hope today and didn’t know I was in the other room…I caught him singing “poochie dog, poochie dog, you are the best poochie dog in the ‘hood”!!

I had to laugh right out loud!
