Random and Odd

Dear Mom,

Go get a cup of coffee and a smoke. You settled in nicely in your computer chair, mom?

Good.

Let’s just take a moment to laugh at the younger Kristine. The younger Kristine that in the wee hours of the morning would melodramaticly roll around in bed and complain of a stomach ache. I would toss my head from side to side complaining I was hot, no cold…no, hot again.

Let’s just giggle at the “I think I am going to throw up.” antics.

Let’s remember the tears I so effortlessly pushed forth to convince you of my horrible pains.

Now mother, go ahead…enjoy this moment. Because of you teaching me the fine art of the hand on the forehead and feeling for that blinding pain….your granddaughter is calling me every name in the book. She is…AS I TYPE…doing the dramatic stagger down the hall, accompanied by the deep cough followed by the whimper.

That girl doesn’t stand a chance. She doesn’t realize she comes from a long line of drama queens.

Thanks mom!!

Love your favorite daughter,
Kristine
