Random and Odd

when a blogger stops blogging…

While up in Redding I was going through some of my archives and I came across some comments from people that aren’t apart of my everyday blogging-comment world. I went and checked out their blogs and some of them were updated and some weren’t even there.

I ran across Rebeckah’s comments and was saddened like I always am when I think about her not blogging anymore.

While up in Redding visiting with The Fonz and Dashababy the names and stories of many of you came up in conversation. A LOT. I wasn’t surprised when a conversation would start with, “Oh did you read…?” and then the conversation leads to another blogger and something they wrote.
I took Mom to Romani Heart and read her the story of trying to get allergy pills at Walmart and then to Kalki’s blog for the plunger story. When we finally stopped laughing I asked if she read Susie’s “booty flies” story. She started laughing again and I knew she had. I asked if they had read The Merry Widow and the story about finding a tape of her husband. They had not and I took them there. It’s a conversation piece, because you ask yourself a lot of questions about what choices you would make. It’s a tear jerker too.

You have all became such an normal part of my every day life. Online and Offline. Rebeckah had too. She came to my blog and commented when no one else was. She was the first person to make me a link. Then one day she was gone.

This led me to thinking ‘what if’ style. What if one of you guys left? What if one day I clicked on your blog and it was GONE. It sucks when you are on vacation and you don’t update, but what if you went to your favorite blog and the blogger either just packed up and left or said, “i’m done blogging”? Who’s blogging has impacted you that you would be somewhat lost without them as part of your online life?
Do you still talk to the first few people that commented on your site? Has someone left Blogland that you wish would come back?
