A wild success!
The man I love turned 50 years old this last weekend and we had a birthday party that couldn’t be beat.
The party started around 3 and all the fun, conversation, drinking, hugs and birthday greetings was finished around 10pm.
The weather was beautiful and everyone had a great time. We invited all the hockey players from Alehouse and the Honey Badgers. I love these guys! they are all so amazing and down to earth. The wives are really sweet and they loved my girls who had their kids entertained for hours with Ladder Ball.
The boys all showed up with their girlfriends or fiances. Lester scared the crap out of one of the boy’s new girlfriend. If she doesn’t break up with him and makes it to another one of our get togethers, she might be a keeper.
The party was fun, but my favorite part was watching people come up and talk to Lester and in their own way, letting him know that he means something to them. You could really see it in all of Eric’s friends who adore him. A couple of Eric’s long time friends really took the time to let him know that he made a difference in their lives. He’s dad.
I looked around to see the amount of people that showed up to spend his birthday with him and I was proud to be one of the people in this world that see his worth. This group of people and I have something in common; we love Lester and think he’s worth so much more than he even knows.
I love him so very much and I don’t think I could be happier.
