No jumping? not in these pants!

No jumping? not this trip ;), originally uploaded by Random and Odd.

What an AWESOME hike this was!

Don and Amanda came from the city to go over some prep work for the wedding and Don said he wanted to see the Foresthill bridge (large bridge in the back of the photo) in the day time.

We walked the bridge to the middle and then back and then decided to come down to the trail and hike back up to the bridge. It was about 3 miles of hiking on the most beautiful day I have seen in forever!

We saw this sign and had to laugh. No jumping? from that big bridge behind us? really? You’re going to tell us we CAN’T do something? :) hahaha! As my friend Wendi would say, “Don’t tell me what to do, you’re not my real mom!”

I’m glad we made this hike today and I can’t wait to do it a bunch more. The weather was beautiful and it didn’t feel as far as when I am on the treadmill. I could have gone for a few hours more! twss.

Good for you! And yes sadly they DO have to post that. A friend of mine lost her stepson to that bridge two months ago. Statistically its supposed to be one of the highest numbers locally to plummet to ones death….sad, sad truth. Glad to know the only thoughts you have are working harder and building more energy. I am down to hike! Need to get some cool boots on payday! whoot hoot

Outdoor exercising is always better than the treadmill, and add a friend? It’s like not exercising at all!
Glad you had a fun day!

the pictures are lovely. Nice weather for a hike.

I got worn out walking .8 miles home from a job, but the sidewalks were shoveled on about half

    Tabitha,
It’s the tallest bridge in California and it’s popular for base jumping…just sayin. I read there has been like 55 suicides off that bridge. You can’t grasp the enormity of this bridge just from looking at it, but we hiked all the way to the pillars and looked up. DAMN that is a huge ass bridge! I got some good hiking shoes and I need to break them in before Lassen. I went to REI and found them on sale, maybe you can find some too. Mine are Merrells or something like that.

Arlene, It was such a blast! I want to do it again this weekend!

MrsDof: Good on you! I would have died at .8 a few months ago and that is without snow! :)
