Today went well. Well, for a roller coaster it went well.
I spent hours and hours talking to Kara last night. It’s hard to talk to your daughter and keep that fine line of what you can say and can’t say.
I have friends that I can pour my heart out to and tell them what I think and I remember that when we are talking and I need to keep the focus on what she is going through and how to get herself together.
Last night was a graceful ballet of making sure she remains strong, but knows it’s okay to break down. It’s my job to just listen.
It was so much more about the person she was and not the person she is. It was heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.
I woke up for work feeling really tired.
I learned a few things on my way to and from work, allow me to share them with you…
1. If there is a red light…I will hit it.
2. If there is a car going UNDER the speed limit, I will be stuck behind it.
3. Morning radio DJ’s…they need their vocal cords ripped out.
4. Afternoon radio is programed for people who have had their hearts broken into 5000 pieces.
5. It’s not as easy as it looks to throw yourself out of a moving vehicle at 40 mph.
—and that is all for today.

I agree about commercial radio! (which is why I listen to something else)
You – and your children – trying so hard to keep it all together. Good for you for being so attentive.
And the point should be that you SURVIVED today….and all of it’s non-glory!
Ms. Randomandodd,
Please view my blog and watch the video I posted on April 22nd on the blog called Andrew Andrew Video. http://www.flanellajo.blogspot.com
I hope you will.

Was thinking about you and wanted to come say hi and send you some Love and Hug’s.
We need to put a positive spin on this day.
You survived your first day at a new job.
You didn’t kill anyone on the freeway.
Do you have an adapter for your iPod?
I can’t imagine how hard it must be for all of you. Hugs!
side note: You have a very wrinkly hand. :)
so glad you are posting and keeping us up to date as to how you are doing!! :) Lots of hugs! I hit every red light anywhere I go. I think there is a ‘red light magnet’ on my car (as opposed to a ‘pussy magnet’ I suppose….)
You’re stronger than u think and you’re gonna be O.K. One step at a time, one day at a time, one box of kleenex at a time…warmest hugs!!
You left of the corrilary to 2)
If there is a car that wants to go way over the speed limit it will be behind me (and right on my bumper)
Glad you made it through. How long is your commute?
I love this photo and you.
You are writing about this set of experiences so beautifully, Kristine. The pain and all the rest seems to be pulling even more poetry out of you than usual.
Hope your job is treating you well. I know new things are tough and I know you can’t really tell us about that part but I wanted to say I’m thinking of you, knowing on top of everything else that’s changing and challenging, you have a brand new job too.
You are wonderful.
