I’m doing better. Thank you for the cyber hugs, strong words and inspiration.
My ex-boyfriend, a wonderful human being, went to the funeral and emailed me all about it. When I found out he went it lifted a huge weight off of me and I knew that he went, representing not only himself, but a part of me.
And now…I keep walking on. I keep telling my stories. I pull my damn head out my ass and entertain you all with my witty stories, anxiety attacks, and beautiful breasts.
Give me some time to get back there. The panic has actually come to a grinding halt for 5 solid days. This defies logic because after I found out about my friend dieing, my mother called to inform me that a family friend got into a motorcycle accident and SEVERED his spine. Yeah. He’s wheelchair bound for the rest of his life. He’s 38. Oh and to add to the topping on the cake: my uncle was in the hospital. Lastly…we call this the cherry on top; Ariana tested positive in one of her tests they take when the baby is a new born. I don’t have details, just holding on to hope that the tests come back and she’s going to be fine.
I swear, I am going to beat this. I just need a bra to push these girls up a little bit more and some lip stick and I am going to be OK.
P.S. Dan took the girls to meet Alyx’s hero, Mike Bibby at Best Buy last weekend. You can’t see it, but Alyx is about to explode.

I have never in my life seen it “rain” so much in someone’s life as it does in yours Kristine. I’m sending good thoughts/vibes/prayers/rubbing my gris gris bag everything and sending it your way. Keep your chin up…

(((HUGS)))) You are going through so much, and I feel so awful for you. I don’t know if it’s any help or not, but sometimes when you are hit with so much, adrenaline and other emotions and such force anxiety to a back burner – which is good!

I’m glad you’re doing better. I can empathize all too well. Long story (and I blogged it, too) but a week or two ago, I learned my favorite uncle has alzheimer’s and I had to tell my parents. Then, my parents’ next door neighbor died. He was the caretaker of his ill wife and dying daughter and HE is the one who died. Again, I get to break the news to my parents. It has been weird … So, I can totally feel for you.
As far as the abnormal newborn screening … it is good news in disguise. Trust me. Pickle was diagnosed at six weeks of age with Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH) from the newborn screening. Because of the diagnosis, we could treat him from the start. It ultimately saved his life and prevented him from a life of heartache as a result of the disease. So, we are blessed that we had the newborn screening. Much of the diseases they find are easily treated and managed with medication. They are usually lifelong ailments, but with treatment, the babies turn out ok. My prayers are out to you for the baby … please let me know what they find.

At first glance Shea does look more excited but if you look closley you can see that Alyx has that “oh, my god, he has his hand on my shoulder… he is touching meeeeeee….. I’ve got to play this cool…” look on her face!
I too thought that Mike was the exboyfriend that you were talking about! I thought, damn, that girl can keep a secret!
