SPF: Your Feet

July 13th, 2006

I’m not a big fan of my finger-like toes. Shaun says I can braid hair with my toes. He’s right.

I decided to do this weeks SPF in Andy Warhol syle because it was one of the questions in tonight’s Cranuim game we played for Family Night.

We had teams tonight and Team Better Than Them beat Team We Can’t Ever Beat Them Because Kristine Is On Their Side, Why Don’t They Have More Math or Spelling Questions So She Will Lose?

Way to go to my team: Marina-Girl Sculpting Quickly, Kara-She Who Acts Too Much and Alyx-Hums like the wind. We kicked bootie.

Okay, who else played? SPF, not Cranium for family night.

Those hair braiding feet of yours are known as “hand feet” in our house. Or as the kids call mine, “earwigs” because I can pinch you until you bleed with my toes.

    I heart cranium!

  2. Teena on July 13, 2006 10:32 pm

I’m not a big fan of feet but mine are up :)

  3. SuZan on July 13, 2006 10:32 pm

LOL…My hubby can actually pick up a tennis ball with one foot using his toes.

    Very clever SPF Kristine!

    I played.

  4. Suzanne R on July 13, 2006 10:44 pm

Your Andy Warhol look is very clever. Mine are plain old things.

Blogger is being crappy about putting the entry up, but it should show up soon.

    I played.

  5. Jessie on July 13, 2006 11:00 pm

  6. Susan on July 13, 2006 11:53 pm

Awww, you got all artsty fartsy!

I cringe to show the world my tooties, but they are up!

  7. Juliabohemian on July 13, 2006 11:56 pm

I played. Welcome back, old married lady…

  8. Maria on July 14, 2006 2:38 am

    Love the Andy Warhol-esque image!

I may have to break down and buy a point and shoot until I can buy my BAMF. I so want to show off my new sneakers. I was being picky, so it was a 3 month hunt. I found them yesterday. TMI, right! :-)

  9. Mother of Three on July 14, 2006 2:42 am

Everyone always made fun of my toes growing up. They didn’t say I could braid with them, they said I could actually BRAID them.

I still hide them. Fortunately, those Crocs are in this year.

  10. Lee on July 14, 2006 3:47 am

nice warhol feet…late congrats on the wedding to you both…the pictures are wonderful and everyone truly looks happy :)

    I played

  11. Hemlock on July 14, 2006 3:49 am

As doable as today’s SPF was, I didn’t play!

I really like your Andy Warhol take! Very fun.

    Have a great weekend!

  12. shannon on July 14, 2006 4:03 am

I unknowingly played this week (first time!) because I keep staring at my pedicure. You have to scroll down past the kid pictures, though.

  13. Lazy Lightning on July 14, 2006 4:39 am

Ohh I can pick up a pool ball between my first and second toes.

And I played. It’s a rare opportunity to see my toes without nailpolish! Aaah!

  14. christie on July 14, 2006 4:46 am

    Oooh, sassy, colorful feet, hehe.
    I played :)

  15. janasayqua on July 14, 2006 4:47 am

Great Warhol Kristine. I so love Cranium. My daughter also has the ‘kid’ version of Cadoo, and we play it constantly.

I played! Have a great weekend!

  16. kerri anne on July 14, 2006 4:48 am

Digging the Andy Warhol of it all. :)

    And I played!

    Happy! Friday all.

  17. Shell on July 14, 2006 4:49 am

    I had naked toenails too.

Are we all going to get hits by foot fetish people or what?

  18. Renee on July 14, 2006 4:51 am

    I’m in!!
    :-)

  19. The Kept Woman on July 14, 2006 5:00 am

LOVE the artistic feet! Andy would be proud…or really angry and sue you for artistic infringement. ;)

    Happy Friday kristine!

  23. Kami on July 14, 2006 5:39 am

    THat is soooo cool!

And I only said, “I am not my hair” because that cracks me right up for some reason.

    Anyway.

  24. Lisa on July 14, 2006 6:08 am

Very cool Warhol-style photo Kristine! I love the game Cranium, it’s a blast.

I am a little scared to go around looking at all of these feet!
    I played.

  25. Michelle on July 14, 2006 6:14 am

Love the treatment of the photo - but who knew you had 9 feet!

  26. MrsDoF on July 14, 2006 6:20 am

A colorful look, and a nice way to disguise your feet.

My husband, whose paycheck job is Computer Support Specialist, was watching me click back and forth to go to the SPF sites.
You know, be here, click on Name, go look at pics, return, find next Name, etc.

He gave me a hint: since we use Firefox with its Tab functions, all I have to do is go to the Name, then push down the wheel on the mouse (without turning it in any way to scroll) and a new Tab opens! This way I don’t lose R & O original! Close the new Tab, I’m right back here. So Much Quicker!

  27. southernfriedgirl on July 14, 2006 6:25 am

    I played.

I pick up my hubs laundry off the floor with mine. They are quite handy.

  28. Pissy Britches on July 14, 2006 6:42 am

I didn’t play but I can pick up ANYTHING with my toes.
They are the ugliest toes EVER.

  29. delaine on July 14, 2006 6:57 am

No way was a showing my finger toes either. I showed something more pleasant. Take a look at last weeks’ spf too Kristine.

    I played.

  30. Nicole on July 14, 2006 7:21 am

You should totally print those out on canvas and hang em’ on the wall! I love it!

    Way cool and Happy Friday!

I played too! (Although mine is not quite so colorful :))

  31. Sharon on July 14, 2006 7:24 am

Okay, there’s just nothing exciting about my feet. They don’t pinch or braid or bake cakes, but they do dance okay.

    I played!

  32. Cy on July 14, 2006 7:32 am

Hey! I played accidentially! (You have to scroll down a bit on my site for my busted foot pics … but they count!)

  33. Irish Church Lady on July 14, 2006 7:35 am

    I played Piggies!

Love your colourful feet shot ~

BTW - We have the same blended family - I also have 3 girls and a boy. Oh and he put us through hell from 14 to 18, not to scare you. But it does get better and he’s great now. Stay consistent, pick your battles and don’t give up though many times you may want to kick his a$$ out of the house if he’s anything like mine was. Sorry you didn’t ask for that advice directly but you were kinda with your previous posts.

  34. CrazyRideLady on July 14, 2006 7:40 am

This is my very first SPF! Yay!!!

  35. Peanutt on July 14, 2006 7:55 am

I love your Andy Warhol style toes picture!!! LMAO @ Shaun about being able to braid hair!!!

  36. Andrea on July 14, 2006 8:11 am

I took pics of my newly painted piggys last night, but am having trouble with our new “EasyShare” (ha!) software. I may be late, but I’ll keep trying!

    Love the Warhol!

  37. OneCrueGirl on July 14, 2006 8:23 am

My feet don’t do anything special either. They walk. Sometimes run and skip and dance. So that’s pretty cool, right?

    I played.

  38. Sannie on July 14, 2006 9:24 am

    haha… that’s a good one…

    I played.

  39. Lynanne on July 14, 2006 9:33 am

I never knew my toes had a name. I’ve always just called them twig-toes. Maybe we should have a finger-toe contest. I could probably make the top 5 :)

Anyhow, I played, Photoshop and all :)

  46. Suzie on July 14, 2006 11:56 am

Very creative and artsy. My SPF? Not so much. But I played…finally…for the first time in ages.

Probably because you made it so easy and I’m so lazy :-)

  47. southernfriedgirl on July 14, 2006 12:07 pm

    Just read your comment.

Oh, the Canadian pennies thing is a good idea. I might give it to her in change like in huge produce bags. Yep, I do believe I will.

    Thanks for the fantastic idea!!!

  48. randomandodd on July 14, 2006 2:01 pm

I got through everyone’s SPF this week. First time in forever and a day. Maybe I should weird ones like this where only HALF of the people play ;) hee hee.

    dig the Andy Warhol.

  54. Sara on July 14, 2006 4:27 pm

The surprising thing is that I haven’t done SPF, but I actually did play Cranium for family fun night this week! And I wish I could hum like Alyx cause no one got that I was humming the theme to “Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood.”

  55. cameradawktor on July 14, 2006 4:41 pm

hey, i wasn’t going to play because i am busy passing kidney stones, oh yah…..but i already had a pic of my piggies so i played here. http://troublealwayshasadoor.blogspot.com/2006/07/my-little-piggies.html

  56. kimmyk on July 15, 2006 6:16 am

I like the picture of your feet!

You really can’t see them. LOL. I always love looking at everyone’s SPF but I haven’t played for a while…this one though? I had to pass on because I don’t like feet. I have yet to see one woman’s foot that I think-”man I wish I had nice feet like hers”. Yuk.

  57. Amy on July 15, 2006 12:54 pm

Hi Gorgeous. This one was popular. I just now played, sorry lol. Love the Andy Warhol way of getting out of REALLY showing us your feet.

  58. kim on July 16, 2006 5:06 am

  59. cat on July 16, 2006 5:33 am

Okay, Mrs. Kristine Xanax, I want to play, I really do, what with the new camera and all, but you gotta EASE me in, lady! Because my FEET?! My freaky-ass FEET?! Are you kidding me?! Good LORD.

(Love your Warholesque feetsies, though. Very cool.)

  60. Amy on July 16, 2006 4:09 pm

Wow, great pic. THAT is what I need to do in real life, to distract from the huge bunions on my friggin ugly feets.

  61. Cindy on July 17, 2006 10:23 am

My feet have no claim to fame either….but I played anyways :)
