One of our Runs with Rusty Scissors team members is running in the California International Marathon in December.
Amanda ran her first 5k with me a couple of years ago and then ran a few more where she lives. Last year she ran with her friend, Ashlee (a fellow skydiver) in the Diva’s half marathon in San Francisco. I was so proud of her that I nearly cried.
This year, signed up for her first full marathon and I am over the moon excited for her.

We went over the route and I decided to set up a spot to cheer her on with music, gels, balloons and encouraging hugs. I’m going to put on our running song, “Life is a Highway” on repeat and full blast so she can hear it as she’s running.
I’m guessing around mile 15 she will need some love and support from her team and I am hoping we can get a few of us out there to join in on her big day!
