How Did They Meet? Game

For those of you that already know the story, don’t ruin the game for everyone else. You already have the joy of knowing how we met…isn’t that reward enough?

Here is what is up for grabs!

Okay… the game: I write out 3 stories of ‘How we met’ containing (some) actual happenings from our first date(s). I will then give you three options from each story to build ‘the real story’.

1. His friend Marco took him out to watch a certain football game at a certain bar. I happened to be at this certain bar. It being a certain team playing I happened to be two sheets in the wind wearing my kickers jersey. He was wearing a totally gay turtle neck and leather jacket. I being two sheets in the wind decided that since he looked SO gay, he must be a 49er fan and I needed to tell him what I thought of his cheese eating, wine drinkin’, whiner boys. He laughed at me. He actually started spewing football stats from my certain favorite team. I fell in love in love at that very moment…but he didn’t think too much me. It could have been that I had like 5 captain and cokes and was verbally abusing him. I’m not quite sure what his uppity problem was. I gave him my email address and phone number and told him to call me. I then sat in the smoking section and verbally abused him to my friends.

2. I met Shaun through a friend of ours. She said, “he has really small hands, but he’s a nice guy.” I had been dating a real dickhead for a few months and quite honestly needed a good reason to dump his ass.
After talking on the phone for weeks we decided to meet. We went to see “How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days” with Matthew ‘hubba-hubba* McConaughey and that one chic that’s related to Goldie ‘too cute’ Hawn.
I thought Shaun was adorable the way he opened doors with his total girly hands. I knew he was mine after that first date. Unfortunately it was my bad choice of movies (DareDevil with Ben ‘relationship stopper’ Affleck) that caused our downfall and we broke up after a short 3 weeks. He let our love fern die.

I didn’t jump into the conversation at first because I wanted to gauge how much of this was a ‘chat room for football fans’ or if it was really a place where people were ‘hooking up’. After about ten minutes of reading what Shaun was typing I knew it was real. He was a true fan that was out there just looking for someone to talk football with.
He gave me his phone number and told me to call him if I was ever bored. I called him one night and we talked football for hours.

Go ahead…mix it up. Use any or all the excerpts from each story to come up with your own. Some are true. Some are not. It will be cool to see what you come up with.
