I’ve lost contact with so many…

FRIENDS
Me, Teresa, Marissa – it must have been my birthday

I’ve lost contact with pretty much everyone I grew up with. I had a friend growing up that every single childhood memory has her in it.
Somehow through school we went in different directions. I have always regretted that.

I’ve regretted not calling people that I have lost contact with, but it wasn’t until after my visit to Shingletown that I really started thinking about the people that made up my whole childhood.

Trust me, there are A LOT of phone calls I won’t be making. There are just some people that need to be left in the past. Teresa isn’t one of them.

Yes, she was bossy. The phrase, “MY HOUSE, MY WAY!” still haunts me.
Yes, she got the cool Dorothy Hamill haircut that I BEGGED my sister to give me.
Yes, she had the cool canopy bed and her VERY own record player.
AND…like you all need to hear more…She had white rollerskates and I had the plastic Incredible Hulk strap on skates.
(how many google searches will I get for ‘incredible hulk strap ons’?)

I’m glad I called her. I’m glad I am going to continue to call her until she takes out a restraining order.

Her sweet voice and laughter has never changed. It’s nice to remember old stories and hear new ones.

How about you? Who would you call from your past?
