Okay, it finally hit me.

It’s the Craig Hour on FB right now with all the comments and people posting videos they saw. I watch each and every one that is posted and read the article.
I’m joking around with everyone on the comments about ‘rubber bones’ and stupid tshirts he should be wearing in his interviews (ie: Your packer secretly hates you) and giggling at other’s comments.
Then I read Katie’s quote.  Katie is an extreme skydiver and one of the best. She was the one doing the demo with Craig on this particular jump.   She said when she saw Craig pulling off his gear (so the EMT guys wouldn’t cut it off) she thought he was just twitching.
Sweet Jesus.
Every time they say his name on the news I start getting teary eyed.   I almost lost my friend.
Yes, he’s a skydiver and that is an inherently dangerous sport, but he’s my friend and I think about all the friends I have that are skydivers and Craig is…well…he’s the laughter, the story teller the boob grabber and nipple pincher.

I sent him a message the other day asking how long did it take for someone to say to him, “Suck it up, Cupcake!”, he responded with, “As I was being put in the ambulance.”
I love my friends.
I sent him another message today telling him I love him and it finally hit me today…”you could not be right now.”
Not something I want to imagine.
