Rewards…
*evil giggle* She was hesitant about running today. I said, “Would you like to go for a hike instead?”
*more evil laughter*
I made her climb and climb and at the top I told her we could turn around…and then I made her run the 2.5 miles back to the car.
“This is your reward for climbing this wonderful hill!” I sang as I ran along without a thought of ever stopping.
“REWARD?! This is a REWARD? Running is a reward!?”
When we pulled into the driveway she said, “If you ever suggest a ‘hike’ when I complain about running, remind me to say I would rather just run!”
I know she hates trail running, but it’s been a good couple of days since she’s had some of the good hurt you only get when you’re trail running up and down those glorious hills.
I asked if she wanted to do the other 7 on the other side and she declined the offer.
“No, tomorrow we just run the streets.”
*evil giggle* I found a really cool trail that is paved. It’s mostly all uphill.
