Yes, you read that correctly…Found Camera. At visitor center.
That is my SPF: BAD. My bad day ended with, “Kristine, where’s the other camera?”
“In the case.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
“no.”
and then after checking the van…the freaking out began. It started with trying to remember every single detail of the photo shoot. Where, when, how did we set down a camera and NOT PICK IT BACK UP?
Shaun drove the 40 minute drive in about 10. It wasn’t where I thought it would be. He said he walked to the last location and on a rock was a note.
During the minutes that felt like hours I wept, I cursed at myself, my heart exploded in my chest 4 times, I cursed more, I shook, I pulled out the remaining bits of hair. I poked my eyeballs out and yelled, “I am not worthy!”
When he called me, I couldn’t believe it. There ARE honest people out there. I am still a moron, but there are good people out there.
I mean, what would you do if you found a Nikon D70 just sitting there?
SOOOOOOO, did you play???

ps: happy SPF! i’m glad that you found your camera, AND, you’ve been tagged! :-D
I would die. I would seriously cry myself to death. And all I have is a cheesy little Kodak EasyShare Z740. So if I found a camera like yours laying somewhere, my love for my silly little camera (and also because I was raised in a Christian home by good people) would lead me to making sure it got back into the hands of the heartsick person who was searching for it. I am so glad a good person found it.
I played too.
I’d leave a note. My cousin calls me schmuck and my co-workers think I’m strange. I found twenty dollars on the stairs and sent an email. People still tease me about it.
I’m glad your bad turned into a good.
I lost a diamond tennis bracelet, 4 carot one. I had it appraised once it was appraised for $10,000. I am still upset that it is gone. I also lost a diamond opal bracelet. It was so pretty. It must have fell off my arm, at a party and I immediatley looked all over for it, but someone must have picked it up and kept it.
That is wonderful that someone found it and left you the note. When we went to Disney World in October, my sister-in-law left her camera on the Little Mermaid ride. She was frantic searching for it before she finally gave up. A few hours later, someone approached and said “we’ve been looking for the family in orange to return your camera!” It paid off to look like the Dork Family all in orange. They found us and she got it back! It is refreshing that there are honest people out there!!!
I played …
Lucky girl! Mine’s up: http://fondofsnape.com/?p=1632

You got lucky babe.
You silly girl! I thought that your camera was connected to you like a third arm!
I played!
Kristine (note spelling)
I didn’t play becasue I felt BAD all day yesterday and was not moving to go get my camera. To take my own picture There is this cool site http://ifoundyourcamera.blogspot.com/ Where people send in pics for cameras and cards they found and are looking for the owners. And it all started off one of my favorite sites http://postsecret.blogspot.com/ See there really is good all over.
If I found someone’s nice camera, I would turn it in–just like they did.
I am very glad you got it back!!!
I’m glad you got your camera back! I played!
[…] son, the Bad […]
OMG I would have FREAKED. Thank goodness for small miracles. Most people would have taken off with that camera.
I played!
I played this week! Yay!
“Yo, I played…and Kristine, you are the most awesomest person I know. Damn, you rock. You’re totally hot too!”
Back in high school I was a photographer for our yearbook and I lost my camera bag at the homecoming game. My camera was around my neck, but my dad’s treasured telephoto lens was in the bag. Luckily, someone had just thought the bag was left behind and picked it up and turned it into the office. My dead-beat boyfriend at the time was SUPPOSED to be watching it for me. But at least I got it back.
I played, first time.
Here
I played, first time. Sorry if this is a double comment.
Wow, what a scary day!
The optomist however, would say it was not a bad day at all – it was a great day because someone actually turned in your camera! ;)
I played – with lots of BAD!
By the way, I think you should go out and buy a lottery ticket. Or two. Damn lucky!
OH MY !! I am going to go play…
Holy crap! You are one lucky chica! I would be completely and totally freakin’ out if that happened to me!
I played.
I know I’m late here, but I played. It was up yesterday, I swear!
This is when we look at all the bad days and say………….WHATEVER! Life is good to us…..and we deserve it.
Wow….you are very lucky you got it back! So glad to see SPF back (I really missed it).
Have a great weekend Kristine!
