I spent the day on roller coasters. I did pretty good until the last ride when my head actually was detached from my spinal cord and then slammed back into place.
When the ride came to a teeth grinding stop I realized…”Yeah, too old.” and then I looked at my 14 year old daughter and she had this look of utter pain. “Mom, my neck…it snapped on that last turn.”
Maybe I’m not too old.
You’re going to die when you hear this; I forgot my camera in the car. I had to use one of the girls’ cameras. It did the trick, we have memories from Kara’s 14th birthday party at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.
I decided to sneak the camera on a ride, and well…they stopped the ride and I GOT KICKED OFF!

Life is all about being naughty enough to get kicked off a ride at an amusement park – although I think sneaking a camera on is hardly naughty – now if you and Shaun were….well you know…then maybe.

is that magic mountain? i went there in nov. 2004 and holy crap…X is killer. i’m pretty sure i broke my neck and ended up with a migraine for three weeks because of that ride. same with scream.

I so love that they stopped the ride to kick you off. What better memory of a birthday bash does a daughter need? “Oh yeah – that was the time my mom got kicked off the ride. Talk about humiliating!” Ah the memories we make for our kids – they have no idea the lengths we will go to to assure them things to complain about in the future. :) :)
