I took this picture yesterday and I have been looking at it all day.
Can I just be a typical parent for one second and brag JUST A BIT?
This little girl made me a mommy. A real true life MOMMY. She’s 13 now.
And I think that she is the most beautiful 13 year old. EVER. She’s not only beautiful on the outside, she’s beautiful on the inside…and that’s the important part. She ‘gets’ people. Do you know how hard it is to communicate with a 13 year old who doesn’t ‘get it’? She gets it. She’s a butthead sometimes, but she’s MY butthead.
She’s funny too. She’s a dork, JUST LIKE ME.
I think she is so beautiful.
and she looks good in her roosterteeth t-shirt.

She is beautiful and I completely understand what you mean about ‘gets it’. I’m lucky to have one of those girls too. Although sometimes it burns me when she’s the more rational of the two of us.

She IS beautiful there is no doubt about it. Hopefully her looks will never go to her head and she’ll always stay beautiful inside too. I have a feeling that you’ll make sure she does :-)

I have one of those children who just “gets it” too…he’s my middle child, though. (He’s 13 too.)
Some days I don’t think my oldest (16) will ever “get it”…even if we pounded it in his head!
Each unique, individual thing, though, is what makes us love them so much.

She is really beautiful, Kris, and it´s great to know how smart she is. My nephew, who stayed with us when my sister decided to marry again, is 13 too and he is just someone super difficult. Congratulations on the beautiful princess!!

you are all awesome! I know sometimes when people say, “My kid/baby is the cutest thing in the whole world.” and you have to say, ‘uh, yeah.’ but you know YOUR kid is truly the most beautiful ;)
and ODDMIX…dude, you so rock! You RVB too! I think season one was my favorite. I haven’t watched past season 3 yet, but I tell you on Sunday nights I sat on RVB waiting for the lastest installment!!!
When Tyler moved in and he played Halo I asked him, Have you seen RVB and I got him hooked on it. Now he’s like a Mod on there now!!!

Dang I don’t know what her dad looks like but she is such a replica of you both on the outside (looks) and on the inside (getting people). Seriously I have never met you and I say this will all honesty – so many 13 year olds look so dorky and lanky and geeky and all THIRTEEN your daughter posses a quiet beauty about her that many do not achieve in a lifetime. I am not a freak here I just think you have ever reason in the WORLD to be proud.

She’s gorgeous!! I love her skin tone and that dimple is adorable! She does great serious face shots too. I envy that because I look pissed when I’m not smiling.
Yeah she is gorgeous. Sometimes pictures of her eyes remind me of Brigitte Bardot.
People who get it are always buttheads at 13. Unless they’re abused. She’s not, she’s loved – so she feel comfortable enough to grow and test limits. Healthy.

I’m a HUGE Red vs Blue fan, so that shirt absolutely cracks me up!
My only is 2, my step is 7, I don’t know that either “get it” or that they should.
I can only hope that my kids will one day “get it”… Jamie is 5 so I don’t have high expectations, but I wonder sometimes if he is actually aware of anything or not… he just kind of floats through life on his own little raft ;) My 3 year old, well… she’s 3, in EVERY sense of the word. Your 13 year old is so beautiful… you better get a bat for all the boys that will flocking to your home sooner than you think!
