First Day of School… Last Year

First Day of School… This Year

Summer is officially over in the Stone/Baland house. The kids all put on their backpacks and went back to school this morning.
I got up this morning, took a shower, got dressed and took the same picture I took last year.

Tyler of course thought this was just stupid that I would want the same shot I took last year.
“Just stand still and shut up.”
“Do I have to smile?”
“No, just stand there.”
I only took two because their friends were outside getting ready to get walk to school and I didn’t want to use up all my embarrassment points on something like this. I would rather save them up for the good stuff.

It’s only 9:30 am and I have 4 hours before I leave to pick them up.

It’s too quiet.

I can’t fucking believe I MISS THEM. I miss them being all loud and leaving stuff around. I thought I would dance the jig when they went back to school. I surely didn’t believe I would survive the summer! I did though…and NOW I MISS THEM.
