I'm a lot of things, but mostly I'm just Random and Odd.

  • What a week!

Victoria’s best friend from Alaska came to visit her and we took her and her OH so adorable son to the pumpkin patch.
I’ve seen cute boys in my life, but this guy…oh my gawd. Katie is such a great mom too. You can tell she enjoys being his mommy.

On Monday Victoria started her week 5 run with me. This was the 2 five minute runs and she was a little worried she wouldn’t be able to do it. I was certain she could. I was right. The best moment was when we got to the hill the first week that I told her I was going to run up and since it was our cool down she opted to walk up it. This week I looked at her again during cool down and we were faced with the hill.
“Wanna run it with me?” Without hesitation she started running up with me.

Today I took her on a trail run. This was the 2 eight minute runs and again, she was certain she couldn’t do it. I was certain she could. I was right.
The trail running nearly broke her though. Around minute 5 she let me know through labored breathing (something she hasn’t had for a couple of weeks) “I hate this, this sucks! trail running is sooooo much harder! this isn’t 8 minutes, we have to be at like 10 minutes by now!”
I tried to explain to her why trail running is harder than street running in the nicest way possible that would encourage her to keep lifting up those knees and change the way she was thinking. It didn’t work. By the end of the first 8 minute stretch she looked like I had taken away her birthday.
She finished and then I started week 4 for us to run.
“WHAT?!” She tried to bargain with me, but I knew she could do it. When we got to a very steep downhill stretch, we ran down it and then I turned around and made her climb back up it again. In all she climbed that hill 3 times.

I told her that until she’s crying for her mommy I was going to keep pushing her harder and harder. My mission will not be complete until she pukes, passes out and tells me she hates me all in one run.

Ohhhh, I can’t wait for Friday!
