I have a problem…It’s not like I tried to hide it. Everyone that knows me knows I have a ‘picture’ problem. Everything in my head is a picture.<\/p>\n

It has been like that since 1991 when my Dad handed me his Minolta SLR camera and I hit the shudder button.<\/p>\n

Many years ago when I started playing on the web and someone sent me one of those emails where you talk about your favorite things one of the questions was: “What’s your favorite sound?”
\nI put, “The sound my camera makes when I take a picture.”<\/p>\n

After many happy years of using that camera, it broke. It might have been Kara picking it up and dropping it, but i’m not certain.
\nI then switched to the Nikon that came with the ex in our marriage deal. I look back and realize I took it for granted, the camera (and the ex). I could have really taken some good pictures with it, but I didn’t like it because it was so heavy and bulky. (much like my marriage)<\/p>\n

I actually went a couple of years without taking pictures. I was too busy with the new video camera I thought was the best thing in the whole world.
\nThen Digital Cameras came into the mix and I was NOT impressed. I will be the first to admit that I didn’t jump on the ‘digital’ train. Not because I was a picture snob, but because I couldn’t develop them. How do I get the pictures out of the camera and into my photo albums?<\/p>\n

LAME. This whole digital camera thing WON’T last.<\/p>\n

I also thought the band,”Europe” was going to be bigger than “Journey”.<\/p>\n

Just so you all know. Yes…I’m a geek…but I’m the stupidest geek you’ll ever know. I’m also lazy. I like what I like because I know how to use it.<\/p>\n

I don’t have a Mac. I don’t have an Ipod. I don’t do the satelight radio. I don’t have a laptop and there are no wireless modems in my house. I just got a Tivo and flat panel computer screen.<\/p>\n

It’s sick how I am more proud of this Flickr badge than I am of 2 years worth of college and certificates in networking security.<\/p>\n

I really should just hand back my degree. It’s not like I am paying my student loans anyway. I’ll just take a picture of it before I do that.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
