\nNow is this the hair of a woman who has her sister’s straight iron? no.<\/p>\n

Tonight is “Open House” at the school. Why do they do this to us parents? Haven’t we spent ENOUGH time at that place that now we need to get all gussied up and mingle with the other parents.<\/p>\n

They have drilled it into our children’s head what time it is that they need to be at the school. SIX THIRTY. The kids are chanting the minutes go down. It’s like the free world is depending on me being there to witness the 2nd grade sing-a-long.<\/p>\n

“Mom..mom…mom, look at me and not at the computer.”
\n“Huh?”
\n“Open house…it’s at 6:30 tonight.”
\n“I KNOW.”
\n“Only 4 hours away Mom. You’re going to shower right?”
\n“GO AWAY!”<\/p>\n

So out of the pink robe and toe socks and into my PTA gear. Khaki’s & striped button up. I have on lots of hairspray and lots of make up. I should fit RIGHT in with the suburban moms.<\/p>\n

Only one hour, thirty-seven minutes left.<\/p>\n

I think I’m going to pull up in front of the school blaring “Highway To Hell”.<\/p>\n
