There is a saying, “An ex is an ex for a reason.”\u00a0 sometimes we forget that saying when we forget why we ended a relationship in the first place.
\nI am well aware of why I ended certain relationships…I know why ones were ended with me.
\nI’ve made the mistake of getting back with someone that I or he broke up.\u00a0 It’s usually within a week that I am reminded of why we broke up. It’s the “Ahhhh-yeahhhhh.” moment.

There is a question in the “Table Top Questions” I ordered offline that asks if I would ever get back together with an ex.\u00a0 My response is, “NEVER.”
\nWhen answering this question a follow up question was asked, “Even if were for the kids?”
\n“Never. Not even for the kids.”\u00a0 My kids know I am happy and there are new adventures ahead of us.
\nAfter that question was answered, another question was asked, “ANY EX?”
\nI had to Rolodex through the boyfriends I have had in the past and stop at each one and fast forward to those last days.
\n“When I am with someone I don’t see myself with anyone else. I have blinders on.\u00a0 I am in a relationship and I don’t see myself with anyone else. He is the world to me.” \u00a0 was my inadequate response.
\nI should have known there would be alterations to the question.
\n“If you weren’t with someone.”<\/p>\n
There was a point in my life when I was truly broken and someone was there to pick up those pieces for me and help me heal.<\/p>\n
“just one.”<\/p>\n
I think we all have a ‘just one’ in life.\u00a0 Sometimes it’s the person that made us feel beautiful and whole again…for some people it’s the one that got away.\u00a0 Sometimes is someone we did wrong and wish we could go back and make it better.\u00a0 Maybe all three.<\/p>\n
Or maybe it’s just feeling young and stupid when sometimes ‘young and stupid’ feels better than where we are at that point in life.<\/p>\n
Then I remember the beautiful places I have been and all the wonderful adventures I will go on and know that I made all the right choices that got me to this place.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
